Arctostaphylos densiflora ‘Howard McMinn’

Sonoma manzanita. This mounding 6’ shrub is perhaps the most often used manzanita in California gardens. Dependable and garden tolerant it can be utilized with confidence from Redding to San Diego. Profuse white flowers in mid-winter that fall to form a thin snow-like layer under mature plants. Hummingbirds feed heavily on the winter flowers. Hardy to 10 F. A. densiflora is a narrow endemic in its native Sonoma county habitat.
