A well-known western perennial or subshrub that, in favorable conditions, will spread rapidly by rhizomes. Gray-white tomentose leaves are held on erect 3’ stems and provide excellent contrast to dark-leafed natives such as Ceanothus and Rhamnus. Best used in full sun with moderate water. Hardy to 0F.
