Lavandula x christiana

This exceptionally vigorous lavender has large blue flowerheads above finely dissected silver-gray leaves. It typically grows to 30 inches high with an equal spread and blooms year round on the Central Coast. It is a sterile naturally occurring hybrid from Tenerife and is occasionally mistaken as Lavandula pinnata. Drought tolerant but the plants are more impressive with some summer water. Hardy to about 28 F.
